TrueTech operates on the principle that computer repair should be as easy and inexpensive as possible. Repair options, charges and timeline will always be discussed up front, and our recommendations will be based on the cost-benefits to you.
- PC Tuneup - Identify and remove unneeded startup and/or installed programs, software replacement as necessary, disk defragmentation, hard disk cleanup, and physical cleaning.
- New Computer Setup - Perform initial startup, remove unwanted startup programs, create restore CDs, move data from old computer, offer tutorials.
- Virus / Spyware / Adware removal - Identify and remove all malware infections.
- Hardware Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot hardware malfunction, replace faulty parts (desktops and laptops).
- Software Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot and resolve software errors including operating system file corruption, installed program failure, etc.
- Data Protection - Back up requested files, implement a backup strategy such as external hard drive, network-attached storage, etc.
- Data Recovery - Recover data from inaccessible hard drives and flash media.
- Networking - Set up wireless and wired networks, ensuring sufficient encryption protocols.
What to Expect
Our first conversation with you will identify your need in clear terms. We will then provide you with a general price range for the work to be done. If you choose to go forward, we will schedule a time for you to drop off your hardware, or schedule a visit, whichever is preferrable. We also offer remote assistance via Fog Creek Copilot, though there is a $5 service fee associated with that method during weekdays.
